When is more less, and less more?

I attempt here to give you ideas that might inspire and encourage you to a greater state of awareness.

See what feels right for you: always exercise discernment.

Questions matter more than answers....

Let's start with this: How to be a better person

  1. Surround yourself with the kind of people you would like to be.
  2. Read good books.
  3. Listen to good stuff. Fill your mind with the pure, the powerful, the positive and the prosperous.
  4. Set goals for every area of your life.
  5. Think in terms of your blessings instead of your limitations.
  6. Forget blame.
  7. Abandon judgment in all forms.
  8. Speak only in positive terms. This applies to yourself, other people, and all conditions.
  9. Be reliable, flexible, punctual, available, and decisive.
  10. Be a good listener.

And turn off the TV!

"The right brain processes information in wholes, leading to emotional rather than intelligent responses. We cannot rationally attend to the content presented on television because that part of our brain is not in operation. It is therefore unsurprising that people rarely comprehend what they see on television, as was shown by a study conducted by researcher Jacob Jacoby. Jacoby found that, out of 2,700 people tested, 90% misunderstood what they watched on television only minutes before. As yet there is no explanation as to why we switch to the right brain while viewing television, but we do know this phenomenon is immune to content."

The answer to many of life's problems:
    • ask yourself, 'is this working?' If you believe 'I suck,' or 'I have bad luck,' or 'I have shitty relationships,' then what's the problem? You're programming yourself for failure, and your program is working just fine.
    • cultivate detachment - what suffering does not originate with attachment - to an idea, person, belief, self-concept, or possession?
    • breathe: breath is life. Breathe in, accept. Breathe out, release. Repeat.
    • I can't speak for you, but it appears, consistently, that when I take myself too seriously, events conspire to remind me that I've lost my way.
    • be aware: every day you create your reality. Yes, there is a weird shit in this world - does that determine how you have to feel? Become an actor, not a reactor.
    • Educate yourself. No one else will do it for you.

It's not the situation that's causing your stress, it's your thoughts, and you can change that right here and now. You can choose to be peaceful right here and now. Peace is a choice, and it has nothing to do with what other people do or think.

A few notes on the world in which we appear to live:

What would you do if you didn't 'know' you couldn't? What would you do if you suddenly took responsibility for ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING happening around you? What if every flaw in the 'outside world' turned out to be simply the Universe presenting you with parts of yourself that needed healing?

Most of us function like drones in The Matrix, ignorant of our true nature and power. The secret to controlling how we create our reality lies in how we feel, not through what we believe or think
. Who controls how you feel right now?

Much of what we feel derives not from genuine experience, but instead from programming. We're told, subconsciously, how to feel. Does this programming just 'happen'? As you investigate, that conclusion seems less and less likely. If watching television has brought you enlightenment, please counsel me. Otherwise, consider it the greatest barrier to your spiritual growth and turn the damned thing OFF.

I try not to focus my consciousness on fighting, since I think that anger and fear feed the beast. But awareness means just that, and we need to understand our environment if we hope to understand why we might have chosen it, and how we can change it for the better.

Alongside each horrible thing I discover, another wonderful thing lurks - if I have eyes to see it. Stuart Wilde accompanied my discovery of David Icke, Gregg Braden provides a tonic to NWO-worry ills. We do, as individuals, have power. We always have.

Breathe in, acccept.
breathe out, release.
repeat.
